Located in the vibrant seaside town of Weston-super-Mare, Ashcombe House provides a more realistic view of family life. Our centre is able to support and assess up to six families, with the opportunity for families who progress their parenting to move into one of our on-site independent ‘step-down’ flats.

Our approach
Our residential family centre in Weston-super-Mare offers a service that can be trusted to deliver:
- Robust and in-depth 12 week assessments provided by Social Workers with over 25 years of experience completing residential parenting assessments
- Safe environments for up to six families with the benefit of the latest CCTV and audio monitoring technology, we keep the child’s best interests at the heart of our practice
- Highly skilled and tailored support for families based on open, honest and mutually respectful relationships
Supported Step-Down
In response to feedback from families and Local Authorities throughout our experience we want our assessments to offer an enhanced ‘true to life’ experience and ensure families can enjoy increased privacy whilst carefully managing any ongoing risks to their child. Ashcombe House therefore provides the potential for families to progress into there own self contained semi independent flat, where we provide:
- A range of flexible levels of monitoring to compliment families progress as part of their ongoing assessment
- Continued support with full access to our programme of in-house and community based workshops and courses
